WSE proudly reported in October of a home-grown invention devised by a third-year civil engineering student of UCT that offered a solution to Cape Town’s water crisis.
It is with sadness that we now report the death of this rising star.
According to ENCA, Nkosinathi Nkomo fell to his death from a fifth-storey of a building in the city.
The design, coupled with an existing old greywater unit would reduce consumption by up to 80% per month. Nkosinathi Nkomo formed a company that reduces the amount of water people use at home and work.
The company was working with contractors in Mpumalanga and had been installing the greywater units in schools in the area.
RIP Nkosinathi.
